Leadership Coaching using KPIs

A business term every successful business leader understands is KPI.

KPI’s or Key Performance Indicators are a great way to measure success in your business plan and ultimately provide data to support the decision-making efforts and improve performance.

Every sustainable, successful business has data that they can track to their decision-making which is essential for Executives and Leaders alike because it often ties into their compensation structure.

What amazes me about KPIs is that the framework compares to a SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Time-Bound) goal used in the Coaching industry to help individuals increase their chances of reaching their goals. The only difference is A business has a much larger development process for its version of KPIs.

As a business leader advertising my knowledge to industry leaders and claiming to make them more effective, I maintain current MarketWatch and company news of several successful companies in many major ETFs, S&P 500, Dow Index, and other open-markets. In doing this, I began to recognize a pattern. As good leaders follow or draw inspiration from more incredible leaders, good companies imitate great companies scaling their KPI metrics to fit their strategic planning to appeal to their target market and grow their organization.
